Men at Work

We are just now getting back into our usual groove after the Holidays. And getting back into the groove for me = things that need to be done. So this past week we knocked a few things off our list including:
* Cutting Austin's hair. He was starting to get back to that "girly boy" look again. Plus, Mommy was getting tired of trying to brush things like Play Doh and Goldfish Cracker out of the hair of a screaming toddler.
* Starting to prepare for Austin's 2nd birthday. We are keeping it a bit smaller this year. Last year turned into Engineer-a Palooza with almost all of Chris' work group attending. We also needed to get Austin's big present from Mommy and Daddy. A small table and chair set. We decided that he will have so many presents that day to open, we should go ahead and let him start using the set. He loves having a place to sit that is his size. I love that it is plastic and can be easily cleaned off.
* Shoveling the driveway. Austin LOVES shoveling the driveway. Even when he and Daddy are outside just to play he ends up asking for "his" shovel and wants to scrape it along the driveway. The best part? He insists that Daddy helps too. Is there any way to ensure that this behavior continues through to his teens?

Sweet baby hair. Sigh.

Watch out ladies.

Not what Mommy had planned for the table and chair set.

Now this is exactly what Mommy had planned for the table and chair set.

Getting bundled up for a trek outside.

That's right Austin, you keep Daddy on task.

He's available to shovel YOUR driveway for a small fee!

NOTE TO AUSTIN WHEN HE'S 16 :
See how much you loved to shovel the driveway?
Isn't it fun?
I'll bet that if you go out and shovel the driveway RIGHT now you will
have some type of happy childhood memory flashback.
Just go try.

Love the new haircut! Look out ladies is right!! And he's so adorable all bundled up too. I can't help but think of Christmas Story. :o)
Just a thought - if you move back to Austin, Tx you won't have to worry about bribing Austin to shovel the driveway...I'm just sayin'!
