That's right ladies and gentleman, it's Fall Festival time here in East Germany. Dresden is having a small carnival/ arts and crafts/ beer fest to celebrate the much cooler weather, and we three partook in it's sausagey goodness last weekend. We've been pretty good about getting out and about and not spending too much time in the apartment (that probably has something to do with us not having a TV). We've been to several work related social events, explored a few areas of town, and eaten some pretty gosh darn tasty food. So far sehr gut!

These were amazing. It's like a funnel cake but made with potatoes. Yum-o!
And who can resist that sweet little German grandmother on the poster?

The Frauenkirche

And beer.
I loved the historic setting of the festival.
And the beer.

Austin found the train ride for children.
And rode it a few times that evening.
Germans must have pretty tough kids because this thing MOVED. I almost got sick watching it go by so fast (this coming from the Tea Cups Ride champion of 1986).
